Software Development Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Implement and test customer-specific scenarios for F5 AI, BIG-IP, Nginx, and Distributed Cloud products.
• Develop automated test systems and infrastructure to replicate real-world scenarios within continuous integration environments.
• Create and publish technical content and demos for internal sales teams and customers.
• Participate in the code review process, including posting and reviewing automation scripts.
• Analyze test results, report issues, and assist in the resolution of product defects.
• Collaborate with geographically dispersed teams to understand product requirements and new feature designs.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in software testing or development, preferably in a Linux environment.
• Proven experience with Python test automation.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols including HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
• Proficiency in L2/L3 network protocol testing.
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI-powered tools, Large Language Models (LLMs), and crafting effective AI prompts.
• Knowledge of OWASP API Security and LLM security.
• Experience with GitHub or other source control management tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience working with distributed, global teams.
