Software Development Engineer II - Android

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance Android applications using Kotlin and modern development practices.
• Own features end-to-end, from initial requirements and design through to deployment and monitoring.
• Implement modern architectures including MVVM, Clean Architecture, and modular design patterns.
• Actively leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude) for code generation, debugging, and refactoring.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high standards of quality, security, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, AI, and Backend teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and optimize application performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in Android application development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and the Android SDK.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android UI development.
• Hands-on experience with Coroutines, Flow, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with dependency injection frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger.
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs and using local persistence technologies like Room.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools and the ability to critically evaluate AI-generated code.
• Strong understanding of MVVM and Clean Architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building enterprise SaaS applications.
• Knowledge of mobile security best practices, including OAuth, SSO, and JWT.
• Experience with mobile observability, crash analytics, and performance monitoring tools.
• Experience building AI-native applications or integrating LLM-powered capabilities into mobile apps.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity products or risk management platforms.
