Software Development Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Design and develop highly scalable multi-tiered shopping applications for millions of customers worldwide
• Contribute elegant, practical code to the project corpus while maintaining high standards for quality and consistency
• Tackle complex problems involving distributed computing, large-scale system design, and machine learning
• Maintain a high bar for engineering excellence, including site latency, efficiency, security, and maintainability

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling)
• 3+ years of experience building production software
• Proficiency in at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, and testing
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical field
