Software Development Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, implement, and maintain integrated enterprise web solutions using standard engineering methodologies
• Conduct day-to-day engineering activities and solve complex technical issues within your domain
• Test and maintain software applications and related systems using various development tools
• Lead and participate in design and code reviews to ensure high quality
• Partner with Product teams to refine business requirements and project scope
• Collaborate with cross-regional peers to share domain knowledge and improve engineering practices
• Advocate for operational excellence through system resilience, scalability, testing, and monitoring
• Report on the status of high-visibility projects to leadership

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional software development experience
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• Strong expertise in developing highly available enterprise web applications using Java, Kotlin, and Spring
• Experience with front-end web technologies such as JavaScript, Node, or React
• Deep understanding of web platform technologies using REST and SOAP web service protocols
• Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and various database technologies
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to explain complex technology to diverse audiences
