Software Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build intelligent data products that augment bank payments and differentiate GoCardless’ offering
• Improve payment recovery rates for failed Account to Account payments
• Enhance fraud detection rates for ML models and rules-based systems
• Optimize consumer authentication flows for high-risk payments
• Collaborate with engineering teams and business stakeholders to grow product adoption
• Prototype and iterate on new features in the payment intelligence space

Requirements

• Strong programming experience with Ruby and/or Python
• Product ownership mindset and ability to propose new features
• Effective collaboration with engineers and business stakeholders
• Drive to solve revenue-growth problems and shape technical vision
• Growth mindset and adaptability to new technologies and processes
