Software Development Engineer (Backend)

Founded in 2015 by IIT Madras Alumni, we provide intelligence used by over 250 customers across Venture Capital, Private Equity, and Investment Banking.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain products using bleeding-edge technologies on Python
• Collaborate with the engineering team to design and deploy code to test/production
• Debug, validate, review and test new and existing code
• Act as a mentor to junior developers, providing guidance and support on technical issues
• Write clean, efficient and well documented code
• Regularly interact with peers, managers and product managers

Requirements

• 3+ years of advanced knowledge in Python with strong OOP fundamentals
• Experience with version control using git
• Experience with web frameworks and MVC/MVT architecture
• Experience with Django framework and its ORM
• Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
• Experience using system monitoring tools and automated testing frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of distributed systems
• Experience with Elasticsearch
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or other container technologies
• Experience with Celery or other asynchronous task queues
