Software Development Engineer, Backend

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable backend services and high-throughput APIs with strict reliability and performance requirements.
• Take end-to-end ownership of assigned problem areas, from initial system design to production rollout and ongoing operations.
• Perform high-level and low-level system design, clearly articulating architectural trade-offs.
• Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code for distributed, fault-tolerant systems.
• Optimize existing systems for performance, latency, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver backend capabilities that support evolving product needs.
• Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high engineering standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 3-6 years of experience building backend software systems in production environments.
• Strong programming proficiency in Golang or similar backend languages.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems design.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based systems, specifically AWS.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including data modeling and performance optimization.
• Practical knowledge of integrating AI/LLM capabilities into backend software and workflows.
• Ability to work independently and deliver complex systems with minimal guidance.
