Software Development Engineer 3

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ecommerce systems including backend services, APIs, and customer-facing web and mobile applications
• Lead development of complex features for browsing, discovery, product pages, cart, and checkout flows
• Architect and implement backend services and APIs that support high-scale ecommerce functionality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, mobile, and engineering
• Design scalable system architectures for high traffic and large-scale ecommerce workloads
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while setting a high engineering bar
• Debug and resolve complex technical issues related to performance, scalability, and stability
• Drive best practices in system design, testing strategies, and performance optimization
• Mentor and guide engineers on the team to raise the technical bar

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5–8 years of professional experience building full-stack applications and backend services
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, or similar frameworks
• Experience building modern web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architectures
• Experience designing scalable architectures for high-traffic consumer-facing applications
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and scalable data modeling
• Knowledge of web security principles
