Software Development Consultant

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Cloud Engineering or delivery teams supporting Microsoft Federal customers
• Assist in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software components and services
• Develop and enhance backend services or APIs under senior guidance
• Support integration with Azure services including storage, messaging, and identity components
• Participate in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve development, build, or environment issues
• Follow established secure coding standards and development best practices
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and team ceremonies
• Document work and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 1+ years of work experience in a relevant area of business or equivalent experience
• Active U.S. Government TOP SECRET/SCI Security Clearance
• U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional experience in software development or engineering
• Familiarity with modern programming languages such as C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Basic understanding of cloud concepts, preferably within Microsoft Azure
• Exposure to source control systems like Git and collaborative development workflows
• Interest in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software delivery practices
• Willingness to learn infrastructure-as-code concepts (e.g., Bicep, ARM, Terraform)
