Software Developer

Responsibilities

• Research, design, implement, and test software applications and specialized utility programs for aircraft tracking and aircrew training.
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions using computer science and mathematical analysis principles.
• Generate deployment scripts, create build media, and support field installations and configurations.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain existing software while documenting deficiency reports in bug-tracking systems.
• Develop software for real-time control of external devices such as radar systems and communication channels.
• Support the delivery of simulations, software models, and prototypes for multi-spectral threat systems.
• Ensure all products meet strict DoD cybersecurity standards through static code analysis and vulnerability assessments.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, system administrators, and network specialists to integrate complex systems.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in writing source code in C++.
• Hands-on experience with Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Experience using Visual Studio and Qt Creator IDEs.
• Active Secret security clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
• Experience levels: 3-10 years with certification, OR 3-5 years with a BA/BS, OR a MA/MS with less than 3 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Ada and Pascal for legacy system support.
• Experience working with real-time systems and military range operations.
