Software Developer

Responsibilities

• Conduct rapid software prototyping to demonstrate and evaluate new technologies
• Develop and maintain software architecture and provide recommendations for improvement
• Perform hands-on programming using C++ and Python
• Leverage modern C++ and libraries such as DPDK, Boost, Intel TBB, and FFmpeg
• Utilize Protobuf, gRPC, and message bus systems for process communication
• Write highly efficient multithreaded code and manage the full development lifecycle including debugging, testing, and deployment
• Collaborate and interface with other development teams for integration efforts

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field (or four years of additional work experience)
• Experience developing in C++ or Python
• Experience working with Linux systems
• Experience working with networking protocols and tools such as Wireshark
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with network routing and TCP/IP protocols
• Expertise in video, audio, or media over IP (VOIP/MOIP) technology
• Familiarity with cellular and/or 5G networks
• Experience with CI/CD through GitLab or similar platforms
• Familiarity with Jira, Agile methods, and virtualized environments
• Experience managing software projects from concept through to deployment and maintenance
