Responsibilities

• Develop and implement complex software solutions for scientific and engineering problems on high performance supercomputing systems
• Design, develop, test, verify, and maintain engineering software
• Port engineering software to modern computing architectures
• Perform software systems architecture, scientific programming, and requirements gathering
• Work across application developers, engineering users, and system administrator groups

Requirements

• BS degree in engineering or science related field
• Minimum of four years of relevant experience
• Strong programming skills in Java, C, C++, Fortran, or Python
• DOE L Clearance (or DOD equivalent) is required
• US citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with software architecture (design, implementation, testing, maintenance)
• Experience with client-server software systems (Windows, Linux)
• Experience with Java Swing and Graphical User Interfaces
• Parallel programming and running parallel jobs on supercomputing systems
• Experience with agile development methodology
