Software Developer Intern

Responsibilities

• Write and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and views against MS SQL Server
• Develop and maintain Java-based add-on products that extend Infinite Campus functionality
• Write custom reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) based on district requirements
• Work with senior developers to translate client requests into technical specifications
• Test, debug, and document work for client hand-off

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems
• Solid Java fundamentals including classes, interfaces, collections, and exception handling
• Working knowledge of SQL including JOINs, aggregations, and basic stored procedures
• Strong attention to detail and clear written communication skills
• Ability to work on-site in Hauppauge, NY for 20 hours per week

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SSRS, Crystal Reports, Power BI, or Tableau
• Exposure to MS SQL Server, REST APIs, or web services
• Interest in K-12 education or edtech
• Prior internship or substantial personal project experience
