About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate software components for embedded systems and industrial communication platforms
  • Implement and evolve network and communication solutions such as TCP/IP and industrial fieldbuses
  • Design software architectures for networked embedded systems
  • Integrate and adapt existing software solutions on model-based target platforms
  • Ensure software quality through testing, simulation, and system integration
  • Collaborate closely with system architecture, hardware development, and testing teams

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable field
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems, including low-level development, resource constraints, and real-time behavior
  • Proficiency in C/C++ at a low level
  • Experience with version control systems, specifically Git
  • Solid knowledge of network protocols, communication interfaces, and Linux-based systems
  • Very good command of both German and English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in model-based development using Matlab/Simulink
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols, such as EtherCAT (ideally Beckhoff)
