Software Developer, Data Engineering

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines to deliver high-quality data to AI, analytics, and product teams
• Develop and maintain the data warehouse footprint and custom data models
• Build shared data platform capabilities to improve data delivery across the global engineering organization
• Take end-to-end ownership of pipelines, including ingestion, transformation, testing, and monitoring
• Partner with AI, product engineering, and business analytics teams to iterate on data products
• Help define engineering standards, practices, and cloud architecture for the new Toronto hub

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building and operating production-grade data pipelines
• Mastery of Python with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
• Expert-level SQL and strong data modeling instincts for enterprise warehouse layers
• Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or BigQuery
• Experience with modern transformation and orchestration tools like dbt and Airflow
• Proactive ownership of data reliability, testing frameworks, and quality enforcement

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing entire warehouse layers or data models from scratch
• Proven track record of improving cost, performance, or reliability metrics of a production data platform
