Software Developer

Responsibilities

• Drive the overall software development lifecycle for payment processing systems, transforming user requirements into technical specifications and features.
• Manage application configurations and deployments using WebSphere, including support for lower environments and production teams.
• Analyze, develop, test, and implement new software programs while maintaining comprehensive documentation.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis for Java-based applications.
• Ensure all code and configurations adhere to strict security, logging, error handling, and performance standards.
• Evaluate new technologies for compatibility with the existing ecosystem and assess upstream and downstream impacts.
• Follow release management processes and apply version controls to maintain system integrity.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of relevant professional experience in software development.
• High proficiency in Java programming.
• Advanced skills in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
• Deep technical understanding of WebSphere, MQ servers, and Linux Servers.
• Strong experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and the full System Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Proven ability in application integration, troubleshooting, and system technology integration.
