Software Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack CMS-based applications using Liferay
• Develop custom modules for Liferay Portal and DXP using Java
• Build user-facing features with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Node.js
• Integrate and manage Oracle and PostgreSQL databases
• Support the upgrade, configuration, and troubleshooting of classified and unclassified environments
• Use Azure DevOps for source control, versioning, and CI/CD processes
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and deployment procedures
• Deliver training sessions to users and internal teams

Requirements

• 5–10+ years of software development experience
• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT
• 5+ years of Linux experience (RHEL, Alma Linux, or Ubuntu)
• Strong experience with Java and Liferay customization
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Node.js
• Experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases
• Experience with Azure DevOps and Agile methodologies
• Experience with Bash or PowerShell scripting
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret (Level II) Canadian Federal Government Security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in secure, government, or defence environments
• Experience with FreeMarker templating
• Experience with Apache Web Server or Tomcat
