Software Developer 2

Responsibilities

• Create detailed application specifications and develop software or configure third-party software
• Monitor application performance and provide customer support for software applications
• Document business processes, application workflows, system components, and high-level architecture
• Apply software development methodologies including Agile (Scrum or Kanban) and SDLC
• Adhere to coding standards and best practices while researching and proposing new technologies
• Mentor junior developers and participate in departmental project delivery processes

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience developing large-scale, complex web-based applications
• Backend development experience using NodeJS and Python
• Frontend experience with JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS, Vue, or Angular
• Proficiency with web services and APIs (REST and GraphQL)
• Experience with databases such as MySQL, MariaDB, Postgres, or MongoDB
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and GIT version control
• Understanding of Web Accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant knowledge and experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with build and bundling tools like NPM, Webpack, Grunt, or Gulp
• Familiarity with running, building, and tweaking Docker containers
• Experience with headless, decoupled, and SaaS application architectures
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, Maven, or Selenium
• Experience with design systems like Bootstrap or Material UI
