Software Designer

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the elaboration of software specifications and architecture in collaboration with Software Architects
• Perform detailed design and coding of software modules for complex embedded systems
• Set up and utilize the software development toolchain
• Prepare and perform software module tests and verifications
• Support software and hardware integration alongside hardware designers
• Apply configuration management practices as per the product Configuration Management Plan
• Maintain strong collaboration with cross-functional teams throughout the software design cycle

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Engineering (IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or equivalent)
• 5+ years of experience in the design of software modules for complex embedded systems
• Experience in developing embedded/RTOS applications and adherence to coding guidelines
• Proficiency in Embedded C and Python
• Knowledge of Microservices design patterns (API gateway, service discovery, load balancing)
• Experience with IoT cloud platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, or Google Cloud IoT)
• Strong understanding of Cybersecurity concepts
• Experience with RT Linux and protocols such as TCP/IP

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with standards like CENELEC SIL4, DO178A, or DO178B
• Experience with IoT cloud protocols such as MQTT, AMQP, HTTP/REST, or TLS
• Experience working with European customers
