Software Cybersecurity R&D Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards such as IEC 62443 and CRA
• Implement security-by-design principles across SKF products
• Perform risk analyses on industrial and communication protocols (MODBUS/TCP, TCP/IP, Profinet IRT)
• Execute Linux system hardening and manage Yocto package patches
• Develop automation scripts using Bash or Python
• Deploy and maintain containerized applications using Docker
• Utilize DevSecOps tools including Tenable, SonarQube, and Nessus
• Leverage AI tools for code analysis, vulnerability detection, and cybersecurity automation
• Define validation strategies and contribute to acceptance test plans
• Write clear technical documentation in English

Requirements

• Master's degree in software engineering, embedded systems, or a similar field
• Proficiency in Linux hardening and experience with Yocto and Docker
• Strong scripting skills in Bash or Python
• Fluency in technical English (written and oral)
• Experience with version control tools like Git

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in an R&D or R&I environment
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of real-time control and real-time data visualization
