Software Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and support software test automation and infrastructure
• Continuously improve test coverage, performance, and speed
• Break down complex systems into testable sub-blocks
• Identify areas of risk and play a vital role in raising software quality
• Create easy-to-use interfaces for operations to run automation workflows
• Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and root-cause process improvements

Requirements

• B.S. degree or higher in a relevant field
• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• 3+ years of collaborative development experience in Python
• Experience with Git, Jenkins (CI), and Agile development processes
• Proficiency in Linux environments, including shell scripting and Make-based build systems
• Ability to write maintainable, testable, and production-quality code

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with remote systems, AWS instances, and distributed systems
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals and designing scalable systems
• Working knowledge of C/C++, board bring-up, or firmware development
• Experience with Pytest or similar test frameworks
• Ability to root cause failures across multilayer software/hardware stacks
