Software Asset Management Advisor

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and guidance on all Software Asset Management (SAM) processes and platforms.
• Configure and customize SAM modules on the ServiceNow platform to meet business requirements.
• Develop workflows, dashboards, and reports to optimize software asset management processes.
• Govern and manage SAM processes, including the analysis of contracts, usage, and deployment data.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in software asset records to ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
• Adapt the SAM program to address challenges presented by cloud architecture and SaaS applications.
• Lead external vendor audit defense engagements by devising strategies and communicating with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT, procurement, and legal teams to ensure accurate and compliant license management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
• Strong background in information technology with expertise in asset management principles.
• Solid technical knowledge of various IT assets and software licensing models.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) certification.
• Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) certification.
• Experience with ServiceNow platform customization and integration.
