Software Architect

Responsibilities

• Own the technical architecture, defining standards, design, security, and integration guidelines aligned with business goals.
• Drive the modernization roadmap by leading the incremental evolution of established systems toward a modern stack.
• Simplify and decouple platform components to establish clear service boundaries and reduce complexity.
• Design for scalability and configurability to support an expanding customer base.
• Strengthen observability by establishing telemetry, monitoring, and alerting standards using Datadog.
• Partner with engineering leads, product owners, and stakeholders to translate requirements into maintainable solutions.
• Mentor engineers and raise the bar on engineering practices through hands-on technical leadership.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in an architecture or technical leadership role.
• Deep expertise in enterprise .NET, C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core.
• Strong command of integration patterns, API design, and distributed systems principles.
• Extensive experience with SQL Server and large-scale data systems.
• Knowledge of AWS and cloud-native patterns (serverless, containerization, infrastructure-as-code).
• Familiarity with healthcare compliance and security standards, specifically HIPAA and PCI.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with legacy modernization patterns such as strangler-fig, API wrapping, or event sourcing.
• Background in healthcare IT or revenue cycle management.
• Proficiency with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline design at enterprise scale.
• Formal architecture training or certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, TOGAF).
• Experience integrating AI/ML patterns into enterprise applications.
