Its mission is to reimagine the healthcare technology stack, making it invisible and assistive to lift the administrative burden from clinicians. Suki's flagship product, Suki Assistant, uses generative AI to automatically create clinical documentation through ambient listening.

Responsibilities

• Maintain architectural coherence across a complex and wide surface area
• Own the load-bearing substrate to ensure system survival through future growth and failure scenarios
• Drive structural decomposition of platform, domain, and service boundaries
• Bridge AI research and production infrastructure, translating LLM requirements into production-grade services
• Lead agentic framework direction, including memory architectures and tool orchestration
• Document architectural patterns, RFCs, and design records
• Remain hands-on by reading/writing code, prototyping architectures, and reviewing pull requests
• Mentor and elevate the engineering organization as a technical multiplier
• Represent Suki’s architecture in internal and external forums

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent production experience
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience at Architect, Staff, or Principal level
• Expert-level proficiency in Go or Python
• Production ownership of real-time streaming systems (Redis Streams, Kafka, or Pulsar) at scale
• Experience operating multi-TB storage systems with active OLTP traffic
• Hands-on experience with offline/batch architectures (Airflow, Iceberg, Delta, or Hudi)
• Experience designing and operating GPU inference infrastructure (Triton, TensorRT, or equivalent)
• Experience integrating and scaling systems using LLM APIs or foundation models
• Proven ability to reason about client-side implications across mobile, web, and SDK surfaces
• Strong experience with GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, gRPC, and Protocol Buffers

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with healthcare-adjacent regulation (HIPAA, PIPEDA, PHIPA, SOC2, or HITRUST)
