Software Architect

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and evolve large-scale distributed SaaS architectures that balance performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Partner with product, security, and engineering teams to shape and refine the technology stack
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to engineering teams for large-scale projects
• Contribute hands-on through coding, optimizing, and troubleshooting across the stack (Java, Spring Boot, React, MongoDB)
• Investigate and resolve system bottlenecks to maintain high uptime SLAs and optimize resource utilization
• Design cloud-native architectures leveraging AWS, Azure, or GCP, including containerization with Kubernetes and Docker
• Evaluate emerging technologies, such as LLM APIs and new database engines, to drive innovation and developer productivity
• Mentor engineers and foster best practices in solution design through architectural reviews and technical roundtables

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 12+ years of overall software development experience
• 5+ years of experience architecting and designing large-scale, cloud-based distributed systems
• Mastery of Java and Spring Boot for backend development
• Strong expertise in microservices, API-driven applications, and event-driven architectures
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
• Proficiency with data layer technologies including MongoDB, SQL/NoSQL, and caching systems
• Experience designing and implementing AI-powered applications, including LLMs and RAG architectures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with search and retrieval technologies like ElasticSearch or Apache Solr
• Familiarity with modern observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry
• Experience working in Agile environments using tools like JIRA
