About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of software architecture and make major technical decisions for high-criticality embedded electronic systems.
  • Define software specifications, architecture, and comprehensive testing strategies.
  • Oversee development teams to ensure project delivery meets quality, cost, and deadline (QCD) commitments.
  • Act as a technical expert and point of contact for clients and cross-functional technical teams.
  • Perform software activities ranging from initial specification to final testing.
  • Support software maintenance and contribute to technological watch and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

  • Master's degree (Bac+5) in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in high-criticality embedded real-time development.
  • Proficiency in C and Ada programming with strong algorithmic skills.
  • Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), ideally PikeOS or equivalent partitioned systems.
  • Solid understanding of resource management mechanisms such as memory and CPU.
  • Ability to follow rigorous development processes, including documentation and requirement traceability.
  • Fluency in technical English and strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the railway or highly regulated safety-critical industries.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment.
