Software Architect - Lead Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as a hands-on development Architect and Lead, providing mentorship and training to both Junior and Senior developers.
• Design and prototype client systems and applications that support ALLDATA products.
• Document and communicate technical architecture to development teams, stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
• Design, implement, and manage Akamai solutions including WAF, CDN policy management, DNS, GSLB, and Application Load Balancers.
• Collaborate with API Architects, UI/UX teams, and Engineering/QA teams to drive prototypes to finished, best-in-class products.
• Interface with stakeholders to translate software designs into scalable cloud infrastructure solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in Senior or Lead roles, preferably supporting large SaaS environments.
• 3-5 years of experience specifically as a Software Engineering Manager or Architect.
• Full stack architecture experience with multi-tiered systems (databases, networks, middleware, and front-end architectures).
• Proven experience with Akamai solutions (CDN, WAF, DNS, SSL) and load balancers (Citrix NetScaler or F5).
• Proficiency in DevOps processes, including CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, and Jenkins.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with AWS or Azure knowledge also being highly valued.
• Experience managing GSLB and application load balancers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Engineer certification or equivalent AWS/Azure certification.
• Master's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
