Software Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, project, and configure software for interlocking systems, specifically focusing on interlocking 85 and 95.
• Analyze technical drawings, functional requirements, and design documents to translate them into configured software.
• Manage the full delivery chain, including design, review, testing, and verification of software solutions.
• Perform troubleshooting and analysis of errors within signaling systems.
• Collaborate closely with customers and internal project teams throughout various project phases.
• Utilize tools such as EBItool, MX, and PSI for software configuration.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of signaling systems, regulations, and industry standards.
• Several years of experience within the signaling technology field.
• Experience developing functional descriptions and signaling documents for interlocking 85 and 95.
• Basic knowledge of MK-BEST technical areas (Track, Ducting, Track, Electrical, Signaling, and Telecommunications).
• Fluency in Swedish (both written and spoken).
• Basic understanding of the Transportstyrelsen GOP approval process.
• Knowledge of TSS and Trafikverket working methods for the safe handling of signaling installations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience reviewing CIS connection documentation.
• Practical field experience involving installation, inspection, or commissioning.
• Experience in developing signaling functional requirements specifically for interlocking 85.
