Soft Goods Packaging Designer

Responsibilities

• Visualize creative concepts and designs for core packaging and special editions with a focus on soft goods.
• Create original designs for products and collections that comply with target, quality, and production requirements.
• Lead material selection, specifically regarding textiles and leather, across luxury, premium, and entry-level segments.
• Participate in prototype development by creating 3D models and constructing material mock-ups.
• Manage the technical drawing process in collaboration with engineering and conduct industrial trials.
• Maintain clear communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders to provide detailed specifications for drawings and materials.
• Monitor the marketplace to identify trends and opportunities to stay ahead of competitors.
• Supervise design adaptations to ensure impeccable final artwork files and sampling.

Requirements

• Degree in Fashion Design, Product Design, Accessories Design, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of proven experience in packaging design or the soft goods industry.
• Proficiency in design software including Adobe Creative Suite, 3D modeling tools, and AI platforms.
• Strong knowledge of packaging production processes, decoration techniques, and soft goods development.
• Deep understanding of materials such as textiles and leather.
• Fluent in both Italian and English.
• Strong presentation, communication, and collaborative teamwork skills.
• An out-of-the-box problem-solving approach and a hands-on design mindset.
