SOECS Recruiting Ambassador

Responsibilities

• Represent the School of Engineering and Computer Science (SOECS) at recruitment events, including tours, open houses, information sessions, and college fairs.
• Engage prospective students and families by sharing authentic academic experiences and program knowledge.
• Support recruitment and yield efforts through admitted student events and follow-up activities.
• Assist with the planning, setup, and execution of outreach and recruitment events.
• Participate in panels, presentations, and classroom visits.
• Contribute to special programs such as summer camps and preview events.
• Respond to inquiries via email, phone, and social media platforms.
• Collaborate with staff to create student-focused marketing content, including social media and blogs.

Requirements

• SOECS graduate (undergraduate or graduate).
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility to drive for University business.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in leadership, recruitment, or higher education.
• Experience in student leadership, mentoring, outreach, or public speaking.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills.
• Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage time efficiently.
