About the role

Responsibilities

  • Advise on complex Socioeconomic and Human Rights issues and the application of regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Lead the identification and assessment of socioeconomic impacts and mitigations associated with business activities.
  • Develop strategies for Human Rights, Community Engagement, Cultural Heritage, and Indigenous peoples.
  • Perform fieldwork including community engagement, research, and consultation.
  • Manage data and develop written content to support socioeconomic programs and initiatives.
  • Build strategic relationships with local leaders and ensure effective grievance management processes.
  • Develop and monitor performance metrics and provide guidance to non-practitioners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Sciences, or Engineering.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or mining sector.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Willingness to travel for business trips and relocate to project locations.
  • Ability to manage rapidly changing priorities and maintain high ethical conduct.
