About the role
Responsibilities
- Receive and screen referrals from professionals, families, or the public
- Conduct initial assessments to determine risk levels and service eligibility
- Make decisions on whether cases require further intervention under Section 17 or Section 47
- Undertake home visits and interviews with children and families
- Liaise with police, schools, health services, and other agencies
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for further action
- Escalate cases to child protection teams when necessary
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely responses to referrals
Requirements
- Social Work England registration
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Full UK driving licence
- Post-qualified experience
- Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
