About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide social work support to families across Blackpool during one duty week out of every four
- Undertake assessments and develop plans to ensure children can live at home safely
- Complete CAFA, Section 47 enquiries, and CIN plans
- Attend ICPC meetings and prepare for court applications, including Section 7 and Section 37 private law reports
- Collaborate with health, education, police, and youth offending services to support families facing complex challenges
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualified experience as a child care social worker
- Ability to drive and access to a personal vehicle for visits
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in completing assessments and working within a multi-agency framework
