About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide social work support to families across Blackpool during one duty week out of every four
  • Undertake assessments and develop plans to ensure children can live at home safely
  • Complete CAFA, Section 47 enquiries, and CIN plans
  • Attend ICPC meetings and prepare for court applications, including Section 7 and Section 37 private law reports
  • Collaborate with health, education, police, and youth offending services to support families facing complex challenges

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualified experience as a child care social worker
  • Ability to drive and access to a personal vehicle for visits
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in completing assessments and working within a multi-agency framework
