Social Worker

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling, support, and guidance to promote self-help skills among residents
• Assist with daily life, including providing information on rights and obligations in Germany
• Support peaceful coexistence and manage conflicts within the facility
• Assist with administrative/official matters and accompany residents to medical appointments
• Organize daily activities and leisure time from a pedagogical perspective
• Collaborate with clients, volunteers, and external professional services and associations

Requirements

• Degree (Bachelor or Master) in Social Work, Social Pedagogy, Social Management, or Social Psychology, OR at least 6 years of equivalent professional experience
• Strong conflict management skills and the ability to work independently
• Fluent German language skills; additional languages (e.g., Arabic, French, Russian, etc.) are a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Proof of measles vaccination (as per IfSG)
• A clean, enhanced criminal record certificate (erweitertes Führungszeugnis)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
• Previous experience working with refugees or asylum seekers
