Social Worker

Responsibilities

• Support and guide refugees and asylum seekers within a residential facility in Speyer
• Conduct client-centered counseling sessions and provide crisis intervention
• Build trusting relationships with residents to provide security and orientation
• Organize daily routines, leisure activities, and various engagement opportunities
• Cooperate with external local agencies and participate in long-term project work
• Ensure a safe, calm, and orderly environment within assigned accommodation buildings
• Act as a primary point of contact for everyday questions and concerns

Requirements

• Degree in Social Work, Social Management, Social Psychology, or a comparable field
• Alternatively, at least 6 years of equivalent professional experience in social work or social pedagogy
• German language proficiency at a minimum of B2 level
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong conflict avoidance skills and the ability to maintain neutral documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in additional relevant languages such as English, French, Arabic, Persian (Farsi, Dari), or Pashto
