Social Worker

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling, support, and guidance to asylum seekers and homeless individuals
• Assist clients in developing self-help skills and navigating daily life in Germany
• Facilitate peaceful coexistence and manage conflicts within the facility
• Support clients with administrative matters and accompany them to medical appointments
• Organize daily activities and leisure programs from a pedagogical perspective
• Collaborate with authorities, volunteers, and external professional services and associations

Requirements

• Degree in social sciences, social work, social pedagogy, or a comparable field
• Experience working with multicultural environments and high intercultural competence
• Strong conflict management skills and the ability to work independently
• Fluency in German and proficiency in at least one additional language (e.g., English, French, Arabic, Farsi/Dari)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to provide an enhanced criminal record certificate (costs will be reimbursed)
• Proof of measles vaccination or immunity as per the Measles Protection Act
