The Pozez Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia (Pozez JCC) is a nonprofit, social service organization that builds community and enriches lives. Located in Fairfax, Virginia, the JCC offers a variety of programs including early childhood education, inclusion and disabilities services, and community impact programs open to people of all ages and backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Write and facilitate social skills curriculum for groups of 5-10 children
- Lead and manage support staff to help facilitate lessons
- Manage feedback forms and maintain communication with parents
- Teach topics including turn-taking, cooperative play, emotional regulation, and conversation skills
- Run classes on Sundays and one workday afternoon
Requirements
- Master's degree in Special Education, School Psychology, SLP, or LCSW
- Two or more years of successful experience in a related field
- Knowledge of social skills curricula such as Social Thinking, We Thinkers, or Unstuck and On Target
- Experience with recreation-based social activities
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
