Social Services Manager II

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of program staff to ensure high standards of work quality and customer service
• Oversee program operations, including the planning, organization, and implementation of case management plans
• Direct frontline staff in supporting shelter and housing clients through a holistic approach
• Manage human resources tasks including hiring, orientation, training, performance reviews, and scheduling
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, including OHSA standards and incident reporting
• Maintain accurate documentation, including intake records, program evaluations, and statistical data
• Liaise with community resources to encourage partnerships and program development
• Assist with departmental budget requirements and program proposals

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Human Services, Social Work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2+ years of related experience in a social service setting, including supervision and working with marginalized populations
• Current First Aid & CPR certification
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification
• Valid Ontario Class G driver's license, access to a vehicle, and valid insurance
• Ability to pass a Vulnerable Sector Screening and The Salvation Army Abuse Registry check
