Social Media Specialist - RedNote

Responsibilities

• Design and produce "scroll-stopping" static notes and short-form videos tailored for RedNote’s food, beauty, and lifestyle niches
• Leverage AI tools including ChatGPT, Midjourney, Runway, and CapCut to brainstorm hooks, generate visuals, and accelerate editing workflows
• Manage the RedNote publishing calendar, optimizing for high-traffic windows and keyword SEO within the platform algorithm
• Act as the brand voice in comments and DMs to build community trust and foster relationships
• Monitor RedNote trends, viral formats, and hashtags to proactively integrate them into the content calendar
• Track performance metrics to turn raw data into actionable content pivots
• Research and benchmark competitor accounts and top-performing creators in relevant niches

Requirements

• Hands-on experience managing a RedNote account, either professionally or as a content creator
• Proven ability to produce both static and video content from concept through to publication
• Proficiency in CapCut and familiarity with other editing tools such as Adobe Premiere, InShot, or Canva
• Experience using AI tools for content generation, ideation, or editing (e.g., ChatGPT, Midjourney, Runway)
• Deep, lived understanding of the Asian community in Canada, including cultural values and consumer sentiments
• Fluency in both Mandarin/Cantonese and English (written and spoken)
• Strong aesthetic eye with an understanding of what drives engagement on RedNote
• Ability to work onsite in Markham, Ontario for 20 hours per week

Preferred Qualifications

• Existing RedNote following or creator profile in food, beauty, or home categories
• Familiarity with other social platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, or WeChat
• Background in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field

Benefits

• Competitive hourly rate: CAD $24-29/hr
• Flexible part-time schedule (20 hours per week)
