Social Media & Marketing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Create engaging content for Wilson Library’s Instagram and TikTok platforms
• Design promotional materials, including flyers and videos, using Canva or other graphic design software
• Record video, audio, and photography of library services, collections, and events
• Plan and create themed library displays (e.g., Latinx History Month, Banned Books Week)
• Execute interactive activities and represent the library at promotional events to inform the campus community of available resources
• Collaborate with various library units on special projects

Requirements

• Must be a current University of La Verne student
• Experience using Instagram and TikTok
• Proficiency with Canva or similar graphic design software
• Knowledge of iMovie or other video editing tools
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and project management skills to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Interest in graphic design, photography, video editing, or creative writing
• Experience in marketing, public relations, or event planning
• Previous customer service experience
