Social Marketing Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of Japan’s social marketing strategy across priority platforms including X, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
• Manage day-to-day publishing, editorial planning, copywriting, and rapid response for product launches and key company moments.
• Translate global product narratives and technical research into locally resonant storytelling that reflects Japan’s cultural context.
• Set up and scale social channels and systems from the ground up to establish a foundation for long-term growth.
• Partner cross-functionally with product, research, communications, and policy teams to align messaging and navigate sensitive topics.
• Develop Japan-first content formats and support creator or influencer collaborations to ensure cultural relevance.
• Monitor local social trends and define performance metrics to continuously optimize content strategy.

Requirements

• Deep experience in social marketing with a strong understanding of the Japan digital and cultural landscape.
• Ability to translate complex or technical topics into clear, engaging, and human storytelling.
• Proven experience working across global and local teams, balancing global alignment with local relevance.
• A strategist and operator mindset, with the ability to move quickly from high-level ideas to hands-on execution.
• Strong judgment regarding tone, nuance, and audience resonance within the Japanese market.
• Experience building structure and systems in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
