Social Director

Responsibilities

• Set the overarching social vision across client portfolios to meet business objectives
• Serve as a senior trusted advisor to client stakeholders on social opportunities and risks
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of social specialists across various disciplines
• Identify growth opportunities within current business and lead pitch preparations
• Evolve VML's social offerings and contribute to new capability creation
• Collaborate with senior leaders in strategy, creative, data, and client engagement
• Represent VML's expertise to clients, vendors, and industry groups

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a senior social leadership role within an advertising or marketing agency
• Proven track record of leading social strategy for large, complex client accounts
• Demonstrated experience building and managing high-performing teams
• Strong commercial acumen and experience with business growth and pitches
• Expert-level understanding of social platforms and emerging technologies
• Excellent communication and presentation skills at a senior or board level
• Experience working with cross-functional teams
