SOC Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of security analysts
• Oversee day-to-day SOC operations, including threat monitoring, incident response, and security event correlation
• Analyze security logs, alerts, and threat intelligence feeds to identify and investigate potential threats
• Lead incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery
• Develop and maintain incident response plans, playbooks, and threat hunting strategies
• Monitor security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls to identify trends and patterns
• Continuously improve security operations processes and implement new technologies
• Prepare regular reports on security incidents and communicate risks to management and stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles
• At least 3 years of experience working within a SOC environment
• Proven experience leading and mentoring security analysts
• Strong understanding of threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and incident response
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack, QRadar)
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CEH
