SOC Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of security analysts.
• Oversee day-to-day SOC operations, including threat monitoring, incident response, and security event correlation.
• Analyze security logs, alerts, and threat intelligence feeds to identify and investigate potential threats.
• Lead incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Develop and maintain incident response plans, playbooks, and threat hunting strategies.
• Monitor security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls to identify trends and patterns.
• Continuously improve security operations processes and implement new technologies to enhance capabilities.
• Prepare regular reports on security incidents and communicate risks to management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles.
• At least 3 years of experience working within a SOC environment.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring security analysts.
• Strong understanding of threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack, QRadar).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CEH.
