SoC Hardware Architect

Responsibilities

• Develop holistic system-level SoC platform architectures and detailed specifications for automotive, edge, and radar processing business lines.
• Deliver architecture specifications including system-level use-case definitions, hardware/software partitioning, and alignment with industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional architecture, design, and execution teams throughout the entire product development cycle.
• Develop specifications for internal and third-party IP, including performing make vs. buy analyses and IP selection.
• Assess performance, power, and area (PPA) tradeoffs to determine the optimal balance for specific product tiers.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline with at least 15 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience designing or architecting complex SoCs in leading-edge process nodes.
• Deep knowledge of ARM architecture specifications.
• Expertise in one or more technical areas: coherent/non-coherent interconnect, DDR memories, system memory QoS, power management, PCIe, USB, networking, or virtualization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 10+ years of experience.
• Exposure to ISO26262-compliant and mixed-criticality architectures.
• Experience with machine-learning compute, multimedia, or pixel processing.
