SOC CAD EDA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop methodologies and strategies to accelerate SoC design schedules
• Implement and maintain SoC physical design and analysis automation flows
• Integrate end-to-end AI capabilities into CAD flows, including ML-based optimization and predictive modeling
• Build and deploy agentic AI systems to automate multi-step design and verification tasks
• Partner with EDA vendors like Synopsys and Cadence on feature roadmaps and AI co-development
• Work closely with design teams to deliver tools meeting key Timing, Area, and Performance metrics

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Experience in SoC physical design implementation
• Proficiency with EDA tools from Synopsys and Cadence
• Strong scripting skills in Python, TCL, and Perl within a Linux/Unix environment
• Knowledge of Verilog, RTL, and UPF for multi-clock domain and low power designs

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience applying AI/ML to CAD, EDA, or hardware design problems
• Experience building LLM-based tools or agentic AI frameworks
• Familiarity with distributed and cloud compute environments for flow automation
• Strong communication skills for collaborating across global sites and time zones
