About the role
Responsibilities
- Identify, propose, and deliver new SoC memory architectures and features for premium mobile and high-performance computing platforms
- Create detailed designs and specifications for memory subsystems, including memory interfaces, controllers, and caches
- Analyze PPA (Power, Performance, Area) trade-offs to optimize memory subsystem performance and efficiency
- Work closely with software, hardware, and validation teams to ensure seamless integration of memory designs
- Maintain detailed documentation of architecture, implementation, and verification plans
- Stay current with emerging memory technologies to recommend adoption in future SoC designs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering with 6+ years of experience, Master's with 4+ years, or PhD with 2+ years
- Proven experience designing and developing complex digital systems and SoC memory architectures
- Strong understanding of memory hierarchies, interfaces (DDR, LPDDR, HBM), and memory controllers
- Detailed knowledge of cache subsystems, including caching policies and latency/bandwidth trade-offs
- Familiarity with JEDEC memory standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cache coherence protocols and bus protocols such as CHI, ACE, or AXI
- Experience with the Arm architecture and ecosystem
- Experience with the Android ecosystem and related analysis tools
