SOC Analyst

Responsibilities

• Act as a critical member of the cybersecurity function to ensure enterprise and client data security and privacy.
• Provide 24/7 monitoring as the first line of defense against potentially malicious events.
• Support the SOC by enhancing tools, improving working practices, and refining incident response procedures.
• Conduct threat hunting by analyzing security logs and data sources to identify attacks, improper access patterns, and event correlations.
• Perform research into emerging threat sources and develop detailed threat profiles.
• Develop and execute crisis communication plans for CXOs and other key stakeholders.
• Measure and communicate SOC performance metrics to business leaders.

Requirements

• GCTI and GCDA certifications.
• Proven expertise in Security Incident Response and handling techniques.
• Proficiency with SIEM tools, log management, and filtering solutions.
• Experience with Windows Server systems (DNS, DHCP, IIS, NPS, RDS, DFS, Hyper-V).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Strong understanding of VMware and virtualization principles.
• Knowledge of PKI, networking principles, and firewall/IDS/IPS configuration.
• Working knowledge of compliance standards including ISO27001 and PCI-DSS.
• Experience with vulnerability management tools like Nessus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
• Minimum of 7 years of related professional experience.
• Extensive experience working within a Security Operations Centre managing complex security incidents.
