SOC Analyst

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor security alerts from SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and endpoint security tools
• Analyze security events and perform initial triage to determine if alerts are false positives or require escalation
• Work with L2 Analysts to investigate, contain, and document security incidents
• Assist in log analysis and data correlation to identify attack patterns
• Provide reports on open-source intelligence (OSINT) regarding emerging threats
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine detection rules, improve SOC playbooks, and enhance automation

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a SOC or related cybersecurity role
• Knowledge of security tools such as SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability scanners
• Understanding of malware analysis, network security, and intrusion detection
• Basic knowledge of cyber threat frameworks including MITRE ATT&CK and the Cyber Kill Chain
• Degree in any field (Graduate or Post Graduate)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI)
• Experience conducting threat hunting using OSINT
• Experience developing and tuning detection rules on platforms like Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or QRadar
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or Microsoft SC-200
