SOC Analyst

Responsibilities

• Monitor the IT Security environment to detect, validate, and respond to cyber threats in real time.
• Manage and respond to security incidents, including forensic analysis, root cause determination, and containment.
• Leverage enterprise security platforms such as EDR and SIEM (e.g., CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel) to investigate alerts and correlate events.
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities within the insurance infrastructure.
• Perform security assessments of third-party vendors to ensure secure handling of company data.
• Assist in incident response activities such as host triage, malware analysis, and remediation efforts.
• Prepare timely reports on security incidents and recommend improvements to the overall security posture.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls including access management and encryption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in Information Security, Security Operations (SOC), or related IT roles.
• Hands-on or academic experience with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, or XDR platforms.
• Knowledge of log analysis, correlation, and incident response workflows.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CrowdStrike Falcon (EDR/XDR).
• Experience with Microsoft Defender suite or Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR).
• Microsoft Security certifications (e.g., SC-200, SC-300) or CrowdStrike certifications.
